A 3d homage to one of the most iconic objects of design ever made: the Olivetti Lettera 32. I have the luck of having one of these with me. In fact, it has accompanied me in many places. Its mechanically-complex simplicity is simply marvelous. It is one of the most beautiful and satisfying (a characteristic that is rare to find) objects ever made.

Creating it with Blender was a pure delight (particularly the procedural materials). For this object, I’ve tried to aim for hyperreality: an image that feels more real than the object itself.

Modeled, textured and rendered with Blender.
